"Despite Major League Baseball’s best efforts to negotiate a new collective bargaining agreement with the Players Association, the parties have yet to reach an agreement for the 2022 season. Therefore, the league has been forced to delay the start of Spring Training. As of now, the first week of Spring Training games – scheduled for Saturday, February 26 through Friday, March 4 – will not be played. Currently, impacted games at Ed Smith Stadium include: February 26 vs. New York Yankees, February 28 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, March 2 vs. Boston Red Sox, and March 3 vs. Philadelphia Phillies."
For all members/alumni of the Harvard Club of Sarasota and the Ivy League Club of Sarasota and Manatee who have already purchased tickets for the March 2, 2022 spring training game, all ticket purchases will be refunded. Representatives of the Harvard Club of Sarasota will reach out directly to all who have purchased tickets.
